About Carbon Literacy Training
EAUC is pleased to be working in partnership with the Carbon Literacy Project to deliver Carbon Literacy Training specifically for the post-16 education sector.
Reducing emissions relies on individuals understanding the carbon impacts of their choices and feeling confident, motivated and supported to take action. Whether in our workplaces, communities or everyday lives, we all have a role to play in creating a more sustainable future.
Designed specifically for the post-16 education sector, this certified Carbon Literacy Training provides the knowledge, confidence and practical tools to understand climate change and take meaningful action.
Combining flexible self-study with two half-day virtual workshops, the programme offers an engaging and accessible learning experience that can fit around busy schedules.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
This course is suitable for anyone looking to build their understanding of climate change and contribute to sustainability within their organisation, including:
To achieve Carbon Literacy certification, delegates complete a short evidence submission demonstrating their learning and commitment to taking action. This includes creating a personal action plan to reduce emissions and influence others to do the same.
Submissions are assessed by the Carbon Literacy Project, and successful delegates receive an official Carbon Literacy certificate.
The training was developed by Manchester Metropolitan University in collaboration with the Carbon Literacy Project and is certified by the Carbon Literacy Project.
