Kick-start your carbon reduction journey with EAUC's bespoke Carbon Literacy training for the post-16 education sector.
The course is delivered across two half-day online training sessions, accompanied by self-study activities.
To reduce our sector's emissions, all of us need to understand the carbon impacts of our choices. We also need to feel motivated and supported to take action.
This course, tailored to universities and colleges, will help you develop the knowledge and the confidence you need to start taking practical steps to reduce your carbon footprint, and contribute to your organisation's low carbon journey.
You will develop an understanding of the basic science of climate change, explore issues such as climate justice, and consider how best to communicate your new knowledge.
At the end of the course, you will submit evidence of your learning and commit to two new carbon reduction actions before you are certified Carbon Literate.
The training was developed by Manchester Metropolitan University in collaboration with the Carbon Literacy Project.
By the end of the course you will:
Understand the basics of climate change science and how we know it’s a problem
Have explored how climate change is impacting us all now and how it will in the future
Be able to identify ways that you and your organisation can take action to reduce emissions, benefiting from this in the process
