Our governance

Governance is the process of deciding how the EAUC should be run, by agreeing on our targets and strategies, and ensuring we act responsibly.

Below, you can view documents which govern the way we work, including the EAUC's constitution, policies and procedures, and Annual Reports and AGM related papers:

2030 Strategy

The Board has three Sub-Committees:

  • Audit Sub-Committee: Supports the Board in ensuring the EAUC’s financial integrity and risk management. This includes monitoring internal controls, ensuring we're compliant with relevant legislation such as UK Subsidy Control and Charity Commission regulations, and ensuring responsiveness to audit findings. The Sub-Committee also manages the relationship with external auditors and ensures the effectiveness of the audit process.

  • People & Performance Sub-Committee: Advises on staff and board development, including remuneration policies, succession planning, and Board composition. The Sub-Committee ensures the EAUC attracts and retains skilled staff and oversees executive recruitment and Board member nominations.

  • Strategic Impact and Data Sub-Committee: Primary function is to assist the Board in reviewing the way we measure impact as well as ensuring we have the data to inform our work and achieve our strategy

As a membership organisation, we hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM). This allows us to update our members and stakeholders on our successes from the past year and give our members a vital voice on the running of the charity. You can click on the below to view the details of each AGM.

Sustainability Policy - developed with help of EAUC Members, we have now a more robust policy with newly advanced social and economic aspects of sustainability and whole-organisation approach.

Equality and Diversity Policy for the EAUC Board of Trustees. The Board consulted with Members as well as collaborating with Advance HE on this policy.
