Session 2: 19th February - 09.30 - 13.00
EAUC is pleased to be working in partnership to promote Carbon Literacy Training with the Carbon Literacy Project.
Reducing emissions relies on every single person in an organisation being aware of the carbon impacts of their choices, and feeling motivated and supported to take action.
Our online Carbon Literacy Training is a blended learning experience, with self-study elements alongside 2 half days virtual training, and is relevant climate change learning for everyone. It is a great way to gain a solid awareness of climate change, and the climate impacts of our everyday actions. The engaging and interactive training allows delegates to map their own carbon footprint, and gain an understanding and motivation to reduce personal and work-place emissions.
The course ensures an understanding of how climate change is affecting us now and into the future, opportunities to better communicate climate issues at work and at home and introduces social aspects such as climate justice.
This course is tailored to the university and college sector, and to support learners to identify practical steps they can take, to get involved in your organisation's low-carbon journey.
By the end of the course you will:
Who Should attend:
At the end of the course delegates will be asked to submit evidence of learning and actions from the course by and setting out an action plan to reduce their own emissions and influence others to take action. This will be submitted to the Carbon Literacy Project for evaluation, for a Carbon Literacy certificate to be issued.
The training was developed by Manchester Metropolitan University, in collaboration with the Carbon Literacy Project and is certified by the Carbon Literacy Project.
