2024 marked a significant milestone for EAUC as we celebrated our 20th anniversary: a moment to honour our founders, reflect on two decades of progress, and look resolutely to the future. The pioneering vision that brought us together in 2004 continues to guide our purpose: to ensure sustainability is at the heart of post-16 education.
Launching our new strategy to accelerate sustainability impact and ambition in the post-16 education sector.
Rolling out the Climate Ambassador Scheme with the University of Reading, supporting over 1,142 education settings with their climate action plans.
Recognising sustainability excellence, granting 73 Green Gown Awards in partnership with UK Research and Innovation, and Allianz Global Investors.
Connecting and supporting over 9,000 people in 285 education organisations through events, communities of practice, research, guides and tools.
Achieving two major milestones for sustainability in education frameworks: the inclusion of sustainability in the revised UK Quality Code for Higher Education, and the latest QAA Subject Benchmark statements.
Joining the Diverse Sustainability Initiative and continuing to track our EDI progress through the The RACE Report.
Celebrating our 20th anniversary with new and long-standing members, friends and founders.
We would like to thank our members, partners, funders, trustees and staff who contributed to our work this year.
